Artist's Comments

An early morning coal train crossing the river. It's actually moving away from me, that's the pusher engine.

An image she wants to sell
To anyone willing to buy

He steals the image in her kiss
From her hearts apocalypse

Okay so they weren't bringing breakfast then. Nicely lined up shot - and I guess from the perspective point of view, it's a good thing it was going in the other direction. ;)

Beautiful comp and atmosphere Gil! OK I was going to comment on the imminent danger too, but then I saw the other's comments! :)

Thank you very much. :)

Thanks Eva. From where I was standing to the train is about 1/4 mile but it was moving at a pretty good clip. If it was coming towards me I would have been moving soon. They sound their horn at the crossing and it's deafeningly loud....enough to make you move back a ways and cover your ears. I know that from experience, it hurts.

Thanks Tami. If it had not been going the the opposite direction, I would have been moving soon. I am not comfortable standing too close to them when they pass.....a derailment can cover a large area and who knows when that could happen. :(
