Spotted this huge moth while sweeping leaves off my front porch this morning. It has approximately a 6" wingspan.....a very impressive creature.

Thanks Eva. No, it isn't a Luna Moth, they're green [link] I don't know what it is but it's beatuiful. Doves have been trying to build a nest on my front porch and they're really messy. I was blowing their nesting debris off the porch when this moth fluttered up in front of the blower. I managed to catch it and set it on the floweres where it calmed down enough to be photographed. My dog really wanted it but I let it go where he couldn't get to it. ;)
very nice...large...great shot..:D
